[He smirks a bit, but it's not a happy expression. It carries a little in his tone.]

We were never friends. Our contempt for one another was always fairly palpable. Only had to restrain it to being mostly polite in public. Occasional thin barbs at one another aside.

[He shakes his head.]

Of course we both know, now, everything there is to know about one another. He taunted me, in essence. Told me I had gotten what I deserved, rubbed it in my face that he was still alive and running things while I'm without anything and locked up in here. Needless to say, I had a pretty bad day after that.
