[So far, remarks like that have brought out sympathy in Allison, strengthened her resolve to help, and today's no exception...but today it also strikes a nerve, hearing Mindy trivialize herself because it's way too late for that.

Allison is deeply invested, and feeling like she might not be able to help Mindy...like she's failing to protect one more person that matters...
