[SPAM]
[When Allison wakes up, she's on her stomach, which isn't the way she usually sleeps. She sleeps on her back so Duchess can curl up on her chest if she wants to.
The second she tries to roll over, she's met with blinding pain.
It takes some doing, but she manages to get out of bed (and dislodge Duchess from the little nest she's made beneath one of the new appendages on Allison's back) and get a look at the massive, brilliant white wings that have not only sprouted on her back, but shredded her t-shirt.
It takes everything she's got not to panic. She doesn't move for a solid hour as she figures out where the new muscles are, how to get them to respond to what she wants them to do. She breaks her bedside lamp in the process, and whacks the wall a couple of painful times, but after a while of spreading and contracting, a couple of hesitant flaps, and getting used to the feel of what she perceives to be two new limbs, she finally settles into the task of being able to leave her cabin.
For the moment, a shower is out of the question, but thankfully she took one before bed. Jeans are fine, but none of her shirts will work. She finally tracks down a purple string bikini top, and with a little work secures the lower half just beneath the root of her wings. It's a little uncomfortable, but for the moment it's functional enough that she can eat in the dining hall, be seen in various corridors as she heads out to check on her pack, and later spend some time on deck and in the Enclosure as she tests the limits of her wings for the first time.]

[Later in the day, the feed clicks on. Allison's features are against a gleaming white backdrop of soft, fluffy feathers as she restlessly stretches her wings.]
Okay...so who else woke up looking like something out of a comic book?

Also, you can only see the bottom third of Steve's face, from the forehead down. There may or may not be a few lingering, light green bruises here and there on his face, but they're hardly noticeable, by now.]
Actually, yeah.
video
Instead, she concentrates until the edge of one wing comes into the feed, curling around her body in a manner that could be called protective, if there were any imminent threat.]
Gotta love these floods...I got wings, what did you get?
[Because she's pretty sure he's not talking about Bucky, at this rate.]
video
[Because that's the first thing he would have tried.
But instead, he huffs and raises the camera up to show the top of his head, where he's got a pair of ears (that look just like the ones on this dog) that match his hair pretty well. So does the tail she can't see.] There's a tail, too. [He might sound the tiniest bit miserable. This isn't funny, Admiral.]
Had to sacrifice a pair of pants - but, uh, you might understand that problem. [Just with a shirt.]
video
Melting into a smile, she nods, flicking at the end of one bikini tie that's laying across her shoulder.]
Yeah...I hope this flood doesn't last long, I only have two or three of these bikini tops before I have to do laundry. And yeah, they, uh...they work. Tried them out on deck and in the Enclosure. Got up a few feet before I started to get nervous about hitting any barriers. Or getting tired.
video
All the same, wings or tail or ears or whatever, it's embarrassing and he's just not in the mood for it. But he's not mad at Allison, so it's a lot easier to curb the anger he's been feeling, lately. Plus, he's feeling more satisfied, now that Zane's down for the count.] You could wash 'em in the sink in your cabin, at least, [he offers - look, he had no access to laundry facilities for most of his life - but really, it comes down to,] I hope so too, though. Usually it's just a couple of days.
[And it beats turning into the real deal - Bucky told him he'd been a dog, once, a real dog, and that sounds even less ideal than a human with dog appendages.
He does look pretty interested at the rest of it, though.] Yeah? I - uh, when we were kids, during that flood, Kara gave me a ride. There's nothing else like it. Maybe you could work up to more, if we have those couple of days.
video
Hearing about Steve during the kid flood makes her smile.] Awwww, you got a ride? I wish I were strong enough to carry you, I'd give you another one. Now I'm tempted to hit the Enclosure again...see what I can really do.
video
If you want someone to spot you, I was gonna go for a run anyway.
video
She decides against it and just nods as her wings finally fold completely, tucking neatly against her back.]
Sure, I'd like that! Meet you there in a little bit?
video
Those wings sure are something - yeah, the ears and tail kind of react to thoughts and gestures, too, but not like that.]
You got it. I'll be there in about ten, but take your time.

[She kills the feed, then true to her word, doesn't waste much time. Gathering up Duchess and her things, she heads for the Enclosure, beating Steve by enough time that, when he does arrive, the Beacon Hills Preserve is waiting inside.
She's in the middle of a fairly spacious clearing, one with a massive tree stump rising just off center. She'd wanted the Preserve when she went in, but...she wasn't consciously thinking of the Nemeton when she'd requested it.
She probably ought to have been more specific.
Allison's ever-present bunny purse was on the opposite side of the clearing, with a bright little splash of pink as Duchess lazed on her little pink bandanna. She was big enough now that she took up a good part of it, but refused to settle anywhere unless she had it with her. She wore her matching harness, which was knotted securely around the handles of the bag...she wasn't big enough that she could hop away with the purse in tow before Allison could reach her.
For the moment, Allison was sitting next to her. Her wings were partially extended so she could sit without catching the bottom portion or crushing them against the ground, and she was stroking Duchess's furry little belly as she lay flopped out on her side. She was focused on Duchess, but the moment Steve arrived she heard him.
She didn't look up as she spoke.]
Ignore the big, creepy tree stump...hopefully, the Enclosure doesn't give mystical power to the things it whips up.

All the same, the area he steps into does look vaguely familiar, even if the stump itself doesn't. He smiles wryly as he makes his way over, although yeah, he's a little distracted by the wings because... those are impressive, and he can't help but study them now that he can see them in person, utterly curious.]
I sure hope not, we've got enough unfamiliar territory to chart as it is. [He's joking, for the most part; he approaches quietly, not wanting to scare the rabbit, especially since he definitely has a couple of canine traits at the moment, although he's not sure the rabbit is actually going to notice.] Are they heavy?
[The wings, he means - he figures they must be light enough to function, but... a person is big. Wings that could get anyone aloft have to be substantial.]

Can you fly?

I can, yeah. A little, anyway. Out on deck, I got a good four feet off the ground before I chickened out. Six in the Enclosure, 'cause at least I'm indoors, you know?

She gets quiet, eyes widening for a moment before she smiles with the sudden realization of dragon.]
You...do you have flying experience, Chromie?
