006} recalled to life (or 'tis a far, far better thing i do...)
[PUBLIC VIDEO]
[Allison is still deathtolling in the infirmary, but she has her comm and she's not afraid to use it. It's been about two days: she hurts like hell, she's pale, and even after being resurrected from the dead, there's been a lot going on.
She's got a lot to do, and she faces it all with the brightest smile she can manage as the feed shows her, still in bed, and features still tight with pain she's fighting to hide, radiating from the puncture wound that stole her life...the wound that's no longer there.]
So...was that what you guys call a port? Because that...sucked. And not just because...[She falters over it, because regardless of the ship's metaphysical mechanics, there's something so wrong about saying it, enduring it...returning from it.]
...because I died.
[Drawing a shaky breath, she hides a wince as she goes too deep, tests her recovering body too much.]
I just wanted to let everyone know I'm here, I'm okay...and that anyone from Beacon Hills is on notice. If you know Lydia Martin, Stiles Stilinski, or Scott McCall? Check in with them if you see them. Have they eaten, did they sleep...and if they haven't, make them. As soon as I can walk, I'm getting out of the infirmary, and it's going to be business as usual.
Seriously, I'm fine, guys. If you don't take care of yourselves, I'm punching everyone. No exceptions.
[VIDEO, private to Needy and Duke]
Check in, you guys. I just want to make sure you're holding up okay.
Hi. [Her smile is less bright, wearier and tighter with discomfort, but it's very genuine.] I'm still stuck with this...death toll thing...but I at least wanted to introduce myself. My name is Allison Argent, it looks like I'm going to be your warden temporarily.

[Voice - Pack]
I'm not hiding. [She is.] I'm finishing up my make up and this is a pack filter.
And you stop moving, I can hear you move and you should be resting.
[Voice - BFF Filter]
Happy? And my eyes has already been fixed. You stop worrying, Allison.
I'm coming by in a little bit to see you.
Worrying is my job. And you're not coming to see me until I know you've had a decent meal...which I am forcing you to consume by eating with me.
[Allison's expression promptly melts into her biggest, glassiest doe eyes...which are decidedly lackluster and fatigued, though she's putting every ounce of energy she's got into acting like nothing hurts, like she wasn't dead...like she could leave any time she wanted.
It's killing her, physically, but goddamnit: she's going to make sure her friends believe she's fine.
So she also adds her best small, pathetic voice to the mix.]
So could you pretty please bring your poor, sick, feeble friend something to eat from the dining hall?
[Yes, Lydia, you are being manipulated. Deal with it.]
And maybe a cup of coffee or hot chocolate or something? Just something hot.
[...and now you are being manipulated less, as this request is just a bit more sincere.]
It bothers her. No matter how hard Allison may obviously be trying to make herself sound normal and take care of them, Lydia still can't help but think of her very pale face and lifeless body while they waited in the infirmary. It's upsetting and it's heartbreaking and terrifying, so she looks away just for a moment.
The sass is fully back when she cocks her head and stares back at her best friend, though.]
Do you seriously think I'm not going to see right through your attempt of watching me eat? I've been eating, Allison. [When she remembers.]
And I think you need to stick to whatever they are feeding you in the infirmary while you're there.
The problem is the chill she can't shake...the memory of that nail buried in her body, how cold it felt inside...how cold she felt after, when there wasn't enough blood left in her own body to keep her warm. All she had was Scott's arms around her, and even that finally left her in the end...
She hasn't told anyone. She can't. But she can't seem to get warm enough, either.]
Fine. If you don't bring me tea or cocoa or something fattening we can both share, I'm not eating another bite for the rest of the day.
[Yes, she's four. She died. She'd rather it be trivial and funny than let her friends know how she truly feels.]
And that means she sees right through all of Allison's attempts of sounding cheerful.]
I should have a couple of travel mugs here, I will bring you both tea and cocoa. And yes, something for me to eat so you will actually relax about this.
[She's already getting up and picking up shoes so she can leave her room.]
Do you want anything else?
Her voice gentles with some understanding.]
I haven't been able to keep a lot down. Sometimes the pain makes me want to puke, you know? So just...get something protein heavy. We'll split it, you're not totally bending to my will, and Jack will be convinced I'm not malnourished.
...thanks, sweetie.
I'll see if I can make you a protein shake or something. Might be easier on you.
I'll stop by the kitchen and I'll be right there.
And Allison? You don't need to thank me.
